카우차리 첫번째 수출

본업이 바빠지다보니 생각보다 기사 올리기가 힘들다. 그래도 중요한 기사. 카우차리가 드디어 3분기에 생산 완료하고 판매 시작하고, 내년 봄이나 여름이면 목표량이 연간 4만톤을 만들 수 있을 것이라는 기사. 이미 내년에는 분할이 되어서 LAC이 아니라 LAAC이라는 이름으로 나오겠지만. 

 

Minera Exar, the project comprised of Canadian company Lithium Americas, Chinese company Gangeng Lithium and Jujuy State-owned JEMSE, exported lithium carbonate for the first time. Cauchari-Olaroz started its production phase in July, becoming the third operational project in Argentina and the second in Jujuy province. They expect to produce the plant’s total installed capacity, 40,000 tons, by the first quarter of 2024, doubling the current production capacity in Argentina.

“It was a big challenge, a pandemic with it,” said Ignacio Celorrio, the president of the Latin American division of Lithium Americas, one of the three companies that make up Minera Exar and operates the project, in dialogue with PáginaI12. The plant will have a capacity of 40,000 tons of carbonate per year and will be the largest production plant in Argentina. This year they hope to produce 10,000 tons. Although Exar’s initial production is lithium carbonate, they later want to make a more complex, battery-grade carbonate.
